![]() The Café – really good reasonably priced food open 24 hours and NO SALES TAX, like everything else on a reservation.Ĭons: Actual glass glasses and stoneware coffee cups in the rooms. Pros: Really nice employees, and, in the new wing, HUGE bathrooms and that fabulous “just built and furnished” smell. We were assigned to the new wing, and everything in our room was so squeaky clean and the rug had that new-carpet smell, leaving my husband to wonder aloud if we were the first people to ever stay in that room (probably not!).Įvery service person we encountered, including the security guards near the front desk outside the casino, actually walked us to whatever venue we were in search of, plus introduced him/herself by name and wished us “Good luck!” This might be required but everyone pulled it off with remarkable sincerity. Viejas is just a half-hour’s drive from us from where we live in the San Diego Metro area, and we stayed here in early February 2016. My husband and I needed a “Staycation” – ugh on me for using that term – for just a couple of days. But the service at this hotel puts it in my top-rated ever, and I have stayed (on business) at some hotels famous for their white-glove treatment, such as the Royal Hawaiian and the Waldorf Astoria.
